A qualified pharmacist, Peter Feros has completed a four year management and marketing course and has a major in politics as part of a B.A. He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Pharmacy Practice and Management
Peter is a partner in five pharmacies in Sydney and two in Canberra. One is a 29sqm medical centre pharmacy at Brookvale (Sydney).
He is a director of Myers Pharmacy Pty Ltd that operates Cincotta Discount Chemist at Merrylands. This pharmacy is 1,164 sqm in size, has annual sales of $32m, and is the largest community based pharmacy in Australia.
Peter is also a director of Cincotta Chemist Pharmacy Management that provides the Cincotta Discount Chemist franchise to pharmacies around Australia.
Since 1972 Peter has provided design and marketing services to 1078 pharmacies throughout Australia.
Time and motion studies of dispensary work flows and the resultant dispensary designs have been the distinguishing feature of the management consultancy work.
The dispensary designs have pioneered
- Dispensaries at floor level to improve the pharmacist-patient contact and communication.
- Open access dispensaries to allow patient contact with the pharmacist.
- The use of sloping shelves.
- 80:20 dispensing.
The objective of all the dispensary designs is to create time and space for counselling.
